Let the data free. The data on Mycelium Global is open and free for all because transparency fuels change. We believe in empowering you to access and share vital emissions information. Anyone can search the database, read any company's profile, and cite what they find, without an account and without payment.
Here is the honest trade that keeps it that way: Mycelium Network Ltd receives no external funding. Free public access is paid for by the organisations that license bulk data exports and high-volume API access. That is why these terms draw one line, and only one: browsing and citing the data is free; extracting the database in bulk, by any method and for any purpose, requires a licence. Please read on so your use keeps this resource open for everyone.

The data and information available on mycelium.global are provided for public use on an 'as-is' basis. Mycelium Network Ltd makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of the data provided. Users are encouraged to independently verify and validate any data for their own purposes.
Important disclaimer about LLM's
Please note that the data on mycelium.global is far from perfect. We employ automated methods, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to extract emissions data from various documents. This process, while innovative, is subject to significant inaccuracies, including misinterpretation of the data or context. We are constantly working to improve the quality of our data, but users should be aware that errors and omissions are inevitable. As such, Mycelium Network Ltd does not guarantee the accuracy of the data and strongly advises users to cross-check against other reliable sources when using it for decision-making. Mycelium Network Ltd shall not be held liable for any errors or omissions in the data, nor for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) arising from its use, inability to use, or reliance on the data provided on the platform.

By accessing or using mycelium.global, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the platform.
Permitted Use
You are free to search the database, view company profiles, and use, copy, and share individual records and modest extracts of the data for non-commercial purposes. This includes citing figures in articles, research papers, reports, teaching materials and public commentary. Attribution is required: any use of the data must include the following citation: 'Data sourced from Mycelium Network, available at mycelium.global' with a direct hyperlink to the website.
This permission covers normal human use of the website. It does not cover systematic or automated extraction of the database, which is addressed separately below and requires a licence whatever the purpose.
Prohibited Commercial Use
You may not sell, resell, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the data for commercial purposes without a licence. Commercial purposes include, but are not limited to, using the data in a product, service, or business process that generates revenue or adds value to a for-profit enterprise. Bulk and Systematic Extraction
Systematic or automated extraction of the data requires a licence from Mycelium Network Ltd, regardless of whether your purpose is commercial or non-commercial. This applies to any method of extracting, downloading, harvesting or copying a substantial part of the database, whether in one pass or through repeated smaller extractions, and includes doing so by scraping tools, crawlers, scripts, bulk download utilities, or manual collection at scale.
The distinction matters because a complete copy of this database is the product that funds it. An academic, a non-profit or a hobbyist who republishes the whole dataset does the platform the same harm as a commercial reseller, however good the intent. If you need the data at scale, we want to help you get it: see 'Licensing bulk and commercial access' below, and note that academic and carbon accountant access may be free or reduced.
Database Right
The contents of the Mycelium database are protected by the sui generis database right arising under the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997 (SI 1997/3032). Mycelium Network Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14137736), is the maker of the database and has made substantial investment in obtaining, verifying and presenting its contents.
Except as expressly permitted by these terms or under a licence from Mycelium Network Ltd, you may not extract or re-utilise the whole or a substantial part of the contents of the database, evaluated quantitatively or qualitatively. The repeated and systematic extraction or re-utilisation of insubstantial parts of the contents, where those acts conflict with the normal exploitation of the database or unreasonably prejudice the legitimate interests of its maker, is likewise prohibited and may amount to the extraction or re-utilisation of a substantial part.
Sharing and Redistribution
You may share individual records and modest extracts of the data, with the attribution described above, for non-commercial purposes. You may not republish, mirror, or redistribute a substantial part of the database, or make it available as a dataset, feed, or downloadable archive, without a licence. This applies even where the republication is free of charge and non-commercial.
Automated Access and Technical Measures
You may not use scraping tools, bots, crawlers, or other automated means to harvest data from mycelium.global, and you may not circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, access controls, authentication, or any other technical measure protecting the platform. The Mycelium API is the sanctioned route for programmatic access to the data, and access to it is granted by API key under the licences described below.
We welcome search engine crawlers indexing the site so that people can find the data. Permitting search engine crawling is not a general grant to scrape: indexing pages for discovery is welcome, harvesting the database is not.
AI assistants and agents have a front door of their own: our MCP server, which is free, needs no key, and serves the same emissions data in a form built for AI tools. If you are building or operating an AI system that needs this data, use the MCP server or the API rather than crawling pages. That is not a restriction for its own sake: a route we operate can be kept fast, fair and current for everyone, where page harvesting cannot. Systematic page harvesting is not permitted by AI systems any more than by anyone else.
Licensing bulk and commercial access
If you legitimately need the data at volume, there is a door, not just a wall. Bulk exports and programmatic access are available under three licences:
- Commercial API Licence, for use within commercial products, services and operational systems.
- Academic API Licence, for research and teaching. Academic access may be free or reduced.
- Carbon Accountant API Licence, for accountants reporting on behalf of clients. This access may also be free or reduced.

Accuracy and Modifications
The data is provided without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Mycelium Network Ltd does not warrant that the data will be free from errors, secure, or uninterrupted. Users are strictly prohibited from altering or modifying the data in a way that could mislead others about the accuracy or source of the information. Any modified data must not be attributed to Mycelium Network Ltd.
User Responsibility
It is the user's responsibility to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the data. Users must also validate the data for their own needs and should not solely rely on it for any legal, financial, or business decisions.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mycelium Network Ltd disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of the data. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of data, or any other damages, even if Mycelium Network Ltd has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to the use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to Terms
Mycelium Network Ltd reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes either through the website or via email. Continued use of the platform signifies acceptance of any updated terms.
