Preview API Licence (v1.0)
Effective Date: 31 March 2026
1. Purpose of Access
This Preview API Licence (“Licence”) governs access to emissions data and related dataset content made available by Mycelium Network Ltd (“Mycelium”) via API, CSV, or other formats for evaluation and testing purposes only.
By accessing or using the data, you (“the User”) agree to the terms of this Licence.
2. Permitted Use
2.1. Subject to this Licence, Mycelium grants the User a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the data solely for:
a. internal evaluation;
b. testing and development;
c. non-commercial research or exploratory analysis.
2.2. This Licence is intended solely to allow the User to assess the suitability of Mycelium’s data and API for potential future use.
3. Restrictions on Use
3.1. The User must not:
a. use the data for any commercial purpose;
b. incorporate the data into any product, service, or system made available to third parties;
c. resell, redistribute, sublicense, or otherwise make the data available to any third party;
d. use the data in any production environment or live system;
e. create derivative datasets for commercial use;
f. misrepresent the source, accuracy, ownership, or status of the data.
3.2. API access is subject to reasonable usage limits. The User must not:
a. attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls;
b. scrape, bulk extract, or systematically download the dataset beyond the scope of permitted evaluation use;
c. share API keys or credentials with unauthorised parties.
4. Data Scope and Availability
4.1. The data made available under this Licence may be:
a. limited in volume, including as a snapshot or subset of the full dataset;
b. incomplete or subject to change;
c. updated, modified, restricted, or withdrawn at any time.
4.2. Mycelium does not guarantee continued availability of the Preview API or continuity of any specific endpoint, format, or dataset coverage.
5. Attribution
Where the data is referred to in any internal or external materials, including reports, presentations, or publications, the User should include reasonable attribution as follows:
“Data sourced from Mycelium Network (mycelium.global)”
6. User Responsibilities
6.1. The User is responsible for:
a. independently validating the data before use;
b. ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
c. maintaining the confidentiality of API credentials.
6.2. Any errors or inaccuracies identified in the data should be reported to Mycelium.
7. No Warranty
7.1. The data and API are provided “as is” and “as available”.
7.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mycelium makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mycelium shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the data or API, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, or business interruption.
9. Term and Termination
9.1. This Licence takes effect on the date the User first accesses or uses the data.
9.2. Mycelium may suspend or terminate access immediately at any time, including where:
a. the User breaches this Licence;
b. usage exceeds reasonable limits;
c. Mycelium changes, withdraws, or discontinues the preview service.
9.3. Upon termination, the User must immediately cease use of the data and delete any stored copies unless otherwise agreed by Mycelium in writing.
10. Future Access and Upgrades
10.1. Continued use of Mycelium data beyond evaluation may require the User to enter into an Academic API Licence, Carbon Accountant API Licence, Commercial API Licence, or another licence specified by Mycelium.
10.2. Mycelium reserves the right to modify access terms, introduce pricing, or require the User to transition to a different licence tier.
11. General
11.1. This Licence does not grant the User any ownership rights in the data, API, or any related intellectual property.
11.2. This Licence constitutes the entire agreement between Mycelium and the User in relation to preview access.
11.3. This Licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
